BELLINGHAM, Wash. – West region top seed Western Washington University defeated Northwest Nazarene 81-51 in tonight's Great Northwest Athletic Conference action.
 
Senior Heather Adams led the Crusaders with 14 points with three buckets coming from beyond the three-point line. Megan Hingston added 11 points and grabbed team-high 9 rebounds.
 
Western Washington (20-3, 14-1 GNAC) had three players in double digits. Corinn Waltrip led the Vikings with 15 points. Britt Harris added 17 points while Kayla Bernsen posted a double-double for WWU with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
 
The Crusaders (18-5, 10-5 GNAC) were 15 of 65 (23.1-percent) from the field and 16 of 20 (80.0-perecnt) from the charity stripe. The Vikings were 31 of 61 (50.8-percent) from the floor and 15 of 21 (71.4-percent) from the free throw line.
 
NNU will now travel to face West Region No. 3 Simon Fraser at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night in Burnaby, BC.
