BILLINGS, Mont. – The win streak came to an end, but fortunately for the Crusaders, not in a loss.

The Northwest Nazarene men's soccer team had its chances in regulation but couldn't put away a goal, then held on in overtime to earn a 0-0 draw at Montana State Billings in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action Saturday.

"Through regulation the run of the play was fairly even, but considering some of the chances we had I'm surprised we ended up in overtime," said NNU coach Coe Michaelson, whose team outshot the Yellowjackets 6-3 in the first half.

MSU Billings responded with a strong second half and eventually outshot NNU 18-9 in the contest, including a 6-0 edge in the 20-minute overtime session.

"Once we got to overtime we were, frankly, very fortunate to escape with a draw," said Michaelson. "That 20 minutes was some of the poorest soccer we have played this year, so in the end we will take the point."

Ryan Foo made eight saves in goal for the Crusaders (3-3-4 overall, 3-3-2 GNAC), who came into the game on a three-game win streak.

Fredy Razo, who leads the GNAC with eight goals and who had scored in seven straight games, had two shots on goal to lead NNU, while John DiLulo also had two shots in the draw.

Eoin Hurley made three saves in goal to help the Yellowjackets (2-6-3, 2-3-2) earn the tie.
