TURLOCK, Calif. - Kristin Refsland slammed a two-run walk-off home run to lift the Crusaders past Sonoma State 3-2 this morning at the Mizuno Tournament of Champions, hosted by Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock.

NNU (6-21) played another close game in their final tournament contest, falling 10-8 in extra innings against San Francisco State.

Tied 1-1, Sonoma State (22-14) took a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh on a Shannon Kehr solo home run, but Refsland came to the plate with Arielle Chao on base and smacked the two-out game-winner for the Crusaders.

Krista Olson (2-2) earned the complete game victory in the circle and Samantha Lipperd (17-7) took the loss for SSU.  Lipperd held the Crusaders to only three hits, however, two of the three were home runs, the first a solo blast by Liz Beaty and the second the to Refsland.

Chao led the Crusaders against SFSU (12-22), finishing the game 3 for 5 with five RBI's and two home runs.  Chao produced a solo homer in the first, an RBI single in the fifth and a game-tying three-run dinger in the sixth that pushed the game into the extra frame.

Beaty joined Chao with three hits, including an RBI double in the fifth as part of the Crusaders four-run rally and Cara Duckworth (3-11) took the pitching loss.

NNU finished the TOC with a 1-4 record and will return to GNAC action April 11th and 12th when they host Western Oregon University.
