MONMOUTH, Ore. - The Northwest Nazarene women's basketball team fell 57-46 on Saturday afternoon at Western Oregon University in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game at the New PE Building in Monmouth.
The Crusaders (5-3, 1-1 GNAC) shot just 28.8-percent (17-59) from the field and were only 1 of 10 from the three point line in the road loss.
Western Oregon (2-6, 2-0 GNAC) shot 45-percent from the floor and were led by a 22 point - 12 rebound double-double from Rylee Peterson. Jade Haas added 17 points and seven rebounds as the Wolves out-rebounded the Crusaders 41-32.
Megan Hingston led the Crusaders with 15 points and nine rebounds but was the only NNU player to reach double-figures.
The Crusaders trailed by just one at 28-27 at the half but managed only 19 second-half points in shooting 22.6-percent in the second frame.
The Lady Crusaders will return to the hardwood next Friday night, hosting the University of Montana Western in a non-conference game at 7:00 p.m.
