| By:
BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Michelle Wrigley had three hits and three RBI and Sarah McEnroe threw five scoreless innings to lead Western Washington to a 4-1, 11-1 doubleheader sweep of Northwest Nazarene Saturday at Viking Field in Bellingham.

WWU (17-17, 13-10) completed a four-game of the Crusaders (6-26, 6-21 GNAC) and moved to within three games of first-place Central Washington.

Wrigley finished the four-game series with six hits in 10 at bats and a team-high five RBI. McEnroe didn't allow a run or walk a batter in 12 innings.

Wrigley's RBI single snapped a 1-1 tie in the third inning of the Vikings' opener. WWU then added two more runs in the inning on singles by Caitlin Dotlich and Kelsey Anderson.

After Erika Hendron pitched the first two plus innings, giving up a RBI double to Haley Hevern, McEnroe (8-6) came on with a runner on second and none out in the top of the third and held NNU scoreless the rest of the way allowing two hits and striking out four.

In the second game, the Vikings fell behind 1-0 in the second on a RBI single by Arielle Chao, but scored three runs in the second, four in the third and four in the fourth to end the game after 4 1/2 innings as Erika Quint scattered six hits. Quint (7-6) walked one and struck out seven.
