ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The Central Washington softball team swept a pair of games from the Crusaders on Saturday afternoon with identical 3-0 scores in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action in Ellensburg.
CWU's Linse Vlahovich, who has allowed just two earned runs in her last 34 1/3 innings, earned a win and a save as the Wildcats completed a sweep of the four-game series.
Vlahovich (18-6) tossed a six-hit shutout in the opener, then pitched the final two innings in the nightcap, allowing one hit. She had one walk and four strikeouts in each contest.
In the opener, Holly Rossman homered in the first and Danielle Monson singled for two runs in the sixth to account for the scoring.
In the nightcap, Liz Trautman had a RBI triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Rossman in the third and Ashley Fix had a RBI single in the sixth. Katriina Reime allowed two hits in five innings to even her record at 6-6.
Haley Hevern and Vanessa Shaw each had two hits in the doubleheader for Northwest Nazarene (8-35, 5-25).
