Brittney Roggenkamp scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Northwest Nazarene women's basketball team to a 60-53 road victory over the University of Alaska Fairbanks on Saturday night in Alaska.
The Crusaders improve to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play after the split in Alaska this weekend.
Briaunna King joined Roggenkamp in double-figures with 14 as the Crusaders shot 34.9-percent (22-63) from the floor and 35.3-percent (6-17) from the three point line. Both teams made 22 field goals, but the difference came at the foul line as NNU converted 10-of-14, while UAF was just four-of-seven.
The Nanooks (5-10, 0-6 GNAC) out-rebounded NNU 39-37, but were forced into 26 turnovers, which NNU converted into 23 points.

Mallory Whipple scored six and dished seven assists against just one turnover in 31 minutes to lead the Crusader offense.
UAF was led by Caitlin Hamsley with 14, Nicole Bozek scored 13 and Megan Thigpen added 12. Ronisha Edwards posted a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Nanooks shot 40-percent (22-55) from the field, but were held to only seven field goals in the second half.
The Crusaders play a single home game next week, a Thursday night showdown with Montana State Billings, tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MT.
