ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Kristin Hein scored a season-high 16 points for the Crusaders, but the upset bid fell short as the 2nd-ranked University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves defeated Northwest Nazarene 65-54 at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex in Anchorage.

Hein added four rebounds and five steals as the Crusaders (10-6, 3-2 GNAC) led 35-29 at the half, holding the Seawolves to 36.7-percent (11-30) shooting in the opening period and converting 42.4-percent (14-33) themselves.

However, the tide turned in the second half and UAA (17-1, 4-0 GNAC) finished the game hitting 55-percent (11-20) from the floor and held NNU to just 29.2-percent (7-24) and a total of 19 second-half points.
