NAMPA, Idaho - Jennifer Williams scored a game-high 16 points and Kristin Hein pulled down a career-best 15 rebounds as the Northwest Nazarene University women's basketball team defeated Western Oregon University 63-58 on Saturday night in the final Great Northwest Athletic Conference game of the season, played at Skyview High School in Nampa.

The Crusaders, who finish the regular season 19-8 overall and 12-6 in GNAC play, will begin to prepare themselves for post season play as selections for the NCAA Division II national tournament will be announced tomorrow night. 

Based on this week's final West Region poll, the Crusaders can speculate on a seventh seed and a likely match-up with second-seed Chico State out of the California Collegiate Athletic Association.  The West Regional will be hosted by Seattle Pacific University, as SPU has earned the No. 1 seed in the region.

Hein's work on the glass helped the Crusaders out-rebound Western Oregon 39-29 and the NNU defense would hold WOU to 39-percent (19-48) shooting from the floor.  Hein would also add 14 points and five assists to her stellar stat line, playing 29 minutes and committing just two turnovers.

Vanessa Wyffels led the Wolves (4-14 GNAC, 8-19) with 14 points and Sara Zahler added 11.

NNU point guard Mallory Whipple joined Hein with five assists, scored nine and committed just one turnover in 35 minutes.
