MONMOUTH, Ore. - Stepping out of conference play for a twinbill against former GNAC foe Humboldt State University, the Crusaders fell 10-2 and 10-0 on Saturday afternoon in Monmouth, Ore.
Jael Henthorn led the Crusaders (0-19, 0-4 GNAC) in the opener, going two-for-four at the plate with Cat Lowery and
Shawna Juarez each plating one RBI for NNU. Lowery and Juarez were each one-for-two.
Dana Shipley (0-8) took the loss in both games for the Crusaders, who fall to 0-19 overall.
Both Lowery and Juarez each collected one hit in game two as NNU was out-hit 10-2 by the Lumberjacks.
Jenna Anderson (1-1) earned the win for HSU in the opener and Hannah Jones (1-1) grabbed the win in the nightcap. The wins move Humboldt State to 17-6 overall.
The Crusaders committed eight errors on the day, with seven in game one.
NNU will return to Nampa and face Western Washington University on Thursday in a GNAC doubleheader at 1:30 p.m.
