Johnson Sports Center

The Johnson Sports Center is home to Northwest Nazarene University men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball. The basketball and volleyball programs play their home games on Orrin E. Hills Center Court.

"A strong belief in the importance of Christian education has motivated Harmon and Liz to support the mission and students of NNU. The leadership gift commitment by Harmon and Elizabeth enabled the Johnson Sports Center to become a reality."

Those statements, taken from the dedication plaque in the Johnson Sports Center, tell the story of the new Johnson Sports Center (JSC) that was dedicated on October 1st, 2004.

An addition to the original fieldhouse that was constructed in 1971, the JSC features a new 25,000 square foot multi-purpose fieldhouse, a new student fitness center, an indoor soccer turf, both the Dillabaugh and Ferdinand hospitality suites, new athletic department offices, the new athletic service center, and a new main lobby and ticket booth areas. The new addition totaled 55,000 square feet and also included new reserved theater-style seating on the west side of Orrin Hills Center Court.

The JSC also holds the Ray Burwick Trauma and Treatment Center, two racquetball courts, the Kinesiology Wellness Lab, the NNU Military Science department, two classrooms, a free-weight training room, coaches offices, and two hardwood balcony practice areas.
