Clark, Moeller, Emerson have strong day for Nighthawks

| By:
NAMPA, Idaho – The Northwest Nazarene women's track and field program didn't send a full team to the Nike Indoor Invite on Saturday.

The few athletes who did compete, though, had very good days.

Freshman Emma Clark finished seventh in the triple jump with a personal best mark of 36 feet, 11.75 inches. That mark is the sixth best in program history and comes a day after she had the eighth best pole vault in indoor program history.

Redshirt freshman McKenna Emerson was eighth in the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 23.52 seconds and sophomore Katerina Moeller was 11th in the shot put at 37-2.5.

"Everyone did really well for where we're at in the training process," NNU track and field coach Danny Bowman said. "We're looking forward to the next two weeks to see all of that pay off."

The Nighthawks kept their full team at home as they are in the process of preparing for the GNAC Conference Championships in two weeks at the Idaho Center.
