Northwest Nazarene Cross Country will be competing in two races this week in Alaska at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The team gets to run an early season race and the coaches are splitting the roster between the races. This gives our athletes the opportunity to race and be in positions on the course that the coaches want to see from them on a regular basis. "It will be exciting to see who steps up and how we compete, this early in the season emphasizes the importance of team." said coach Ben Gall.
The coaches are excited to split our squad and compete with different teams in the races today and Saturday. The coaches are confident that even with split squads we will be competitive against both UAF and SPU. The women will have their hands full as Seattle Pacific is ranked 4th in the region and 14th in the country.
The following athletes will be competing this afternoon, with the women race at 5 p.m. and the men at 5:45.
