NAMPA, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene University head baseball coach Tim Onofrei has announced the signing of four student-athletes who will attend NNU and play baseball for the Crusaders this fall. Signing with the Crusaders are Ryan Kuhn, George Casper, Eli Kelly, and Tyler Moore.
Kuhn (P, R/R, 6'3, 200, Beaverton, OR), is a two-sport athlete in football and baseball at Southridge High School in Beaverton, OR. He is the son of Steve and Gwen Kuhn and is planning on majoring in Business at NNU this fall.
Casper (P/1B, L/L, 6'2, 195, Pocatello, ID), is a left-handed pitcher and first baseman from Highland High School in Pocatello, ID. He was 6-2 overall with a 2.82 E.R.A. and hit .432 with 29 RBI as a junior at Highland HS. A first-team all-district selection as a junior, he is also a member of the National Honor Society and currently has a 4.027 G.P.A. George is the son of George and Shari Casper and is planning on majoring in Pre-Law.
Kelley (P, R/R, 5'10, 165, Corona, CA) is a right-handed pitcher from Riverside Christian High School in Riverside, CA and was a first-team all-league pitcher as junior, posting a 2.40 E.R.A in 46.2 innings and was named team captain for his senior year. Eli, who currently has a 4.30 G.P.A., is the son of Don and Teresa Kelly.
Moore (1B/DH R/R, 5'11, 240) is a right-handed hitting first baseman from Silverton High School in Silverton, OR, and is planning on majoring in Nursing at NNU.
