Bennett and Heidegger lead Crusaders at the Mt.Hood Multi Meet

GRESHAM, Ore. - Jill Bennett finished second in the Heptathlon and Ben Heidegger finished sixth in the Decathlon to lead the Northwest Nazarene contingent at the Mt.Hood Multi Meet, hosted by Mount Hood Community College on Monday and Tuesday.
 
Bennett was second in the Heptathlon with 4,114 points and finished just 63 points behind winner Emily McCutchan of the College of Idaho, who tallied 4,177 points.  Bennett won the high jump with a leap of 1.60 meters.
 
Heidegger finished sixth in the Decathlon competition with 4,880 points, highlighted by his winning performance in the 400-meter event with a time of 50.68.
 
Also competing in the Decathlon were Stuart Montgomery (9th, 4,597), Tim Greene (11th, 4,082), and Mark Wade (12th, 3,715). 
 
Competing in the Heptathlon with Bennett were Lindsay Brady (5th, 3,414), Beth McLam (6th, 3,404), and Maria Ramirez (9th, 1,809).  Brady joined Bennett with an event win in the 800-meters, clocking a time of 2:20.17.
