SPOKANE, Wash. - Northwest Nazarene University seniors
Lindsay Brady,
Kristin Hein, and
Janee Olds were each named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Basketball All-Star Team, while
Heather Adams was named the GNAC Freshman-of-the-Year.
Brady, a senior from Boise, Idaho, was a first-team selection to the all-conference squad, leading the Crusaders in scoring at 12.4 points per game and shooting a team-high 48.7-percent from the field. She finishes her career at NNU with 1,159 points, ranking 14th all-time in scoring at NNU.
Hein, a senior from Tualatin, Ore., was an honorable mention selection, leading the Crusaders in rebounding at 7.6 rebounds per game and steals, with 62 on the season. With 777 career rebounds, she is ranked seventh all-time at NNU in rebounding and 24th all-time in scoring with 979 career points.
Olds, a senior from Coos Bay, Ore., was also an honorable mention pick, leading the Crusaders from the three-point line with 46 three-pointers made this season and completing her career with 1,052 career points. The 19th-ranked scorer in NNU women's basketball history, Janee is 3rd all-time in career three-point field goals made with 153, and shot 41-percent from the arc this season.
Adams, a freshman from Boise, Idaho, was the Crusaders' assist leader with 62 and averaged 5.4 points per game. Appearing in all 27 contest, Heather started 18 games at point guard to earn the Freshman-of-the-Year honor.
Brady is the fourth NNU player to earn first-team honors since joining the GNAC, while Adams is the second Crusader to be named the Freshman-of-the-Year. Also earning first-team honors were Alysson Kollmann (2003), Heidi Buehler (2004), and Danielle Dwello (2007). Danielle Dwello was named the Freshman-of-the-Year in 2004.
