Crusaders Open Day 1 of the United Hertiage Invitational

NAMPA, Idaho – The Crusader men and women kicked off this weekend with a handful of events held Friday night.
Highlighting the evening was the Women’s Distance Medley relay of Michelle Phillips (Sr. Meridian, ID), Elisa Decker (Jr. Vancouver, WA), Christine Harwood (Fr. Pendleton, OR) and Jaclyn Puga (Jr. Meridian, ID). The DMR Relay ran 12:18.50 to take first place over Nevada and College of Idaho, just missing the National Provisional mark of 12:18.30. Also on the Women’s side, Joy Warrington (So. Colorado Springs, Co ) was 3rd in the Women’s Weight Throw with a toss of 47’ 3.50”.
On the Crusader Men’s side, Maurus Hope (So. Adrian, OR) placed 2nd in the Men’s 200m (22.83), followed closely by Dan Hill (Jr. Castleford, ID) in a time of 23.86.
Day two of the United Heritage Invitational will begin Sat., Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. Day two will consist of additional collegiate competitions as well as masters and high school track and field events.
