The NNU Crusaders compete this weekend in their final regular-season meets of the indoor season this Fri.-Sat., Feb. 12-13 at the Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho. The Boise State Team Invitational will runs Friday afternoon and begins 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and will include Boise State, UCLA, Cal State Northridge, Utah State, Utah Valley, Eastern Oregon, College of Idaho, Northwest Nazarene and the UNLV women's team.
Competing Friday evening in the Women's Pentathlon were Beth McLam (So. Fairfield, ID) and Ali Rotta (Fr. Eagle, ID), and in the Men's Heptathlon were Tim Greene (Jr. Portland, OR) and Stuart Montgomery (Jr. Marysville, WA).
On the Women's side Beth McLam finished 10th and began the competition recording personal best mark in the 60H (10.64) by almost ½ a second. When asked about her hurdle race, Beth McLam said with a smile, “It felt good to have such a fast start and lead the race for a few hurdles.” McLam went on to set a person best Pentathlon score by over 150 points scoring a total of 2446.
On the Men's side, both Montgomery and Greene opened the Heptathlon with solid 60m times and both High Jumped to season bests. The Men will compete tomorrow in the 60 Hurdles, Pole Vault, and 1000m.
