Crusaders cruise past Walla Walla University

NAMPA, Idaho -  Nine Northwest Nazarene University players scored eight or more points on Saturday night as the Crusaders defeated Walla Walla University 88-20 in the final non-conference game of the season for the Crusaders.
 
Playing their only non-NCAA Division II game of the season, the Crusaders jumped out to a 15-0 lead on the Wolves and never looked back, leading by as many as 70 in the second half.
 
NNU completes the non-conference season at 10-1 and pushed their winning-streak to nine.
 
Katharina Schulte to Buhne and Kristin Hein each scored 10 to lead the Crusaders, while Lindsay Brady added nine.  NNU controlled the glass, out-rebounding the Wolves 41-21, with Schulte to Buhne leading the way with nine.
 
Six players scored eight points as Heather Adams, Brittney Roggenkamp, Julianne Bazzi, Falissa Smith, Beth Johnson, and Janee Olds all tallied the same number.
 
Heather McFadden led the Wolves (3-7) with nine.
 
The Crusaders will open Great Northwest Athletic Conference play next weekend on the road, facing Western Oregon University on Thursday in Monmouth, Ore., and Saint Martin's University next Saturday in Lacey, Wash.
